Each year the Battle of Plattsburgh Celebration features hundreds of reenactors camping on the grounds of the Kent DeLord House Museum, site of the British Headquarters during the battle. These history enthusiasts spend the weekend living as people did during the War of 1812. Soldier reenactors are a highlight of the commemoration, but there is another kind of reenactor history often overlooks.
