The revitalization of Orchestra Hall was a monumental accomplishment, and in 1989 the DSO returned to its home. This chapter tells the story of how new music director’s Neeme Järvi’s arrival in Detroit helped revive both the orchestra and its hall, culminating in its expansion and transformation into the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center.
