Season 2017 Episode 21 | 28m 46s

A new invasive beetle, increasing tick danger, and eagle populations soar.

The traps we've seen hanging in trees across the North Country have finally a destructive insect that kill millions of Ash trees in Northern New York. The tick population has increased dramatically and with it an increased risk of Lyme Disease. The pesticide DDT nearly wiped out New York's eagle population in the late 1960s. Since DDT was banned in 1972, the eagle population has made a comeback.
