Tariff impacts on local breweries, State lawmakers split on cell phone ban in schools.

The trade war’s having an impact on craft breweries here in the Adirondacks. Paradox Brewery in North Hudson is facing higher costs from the new tariffs on the aluminum used to make the cans they use, as well as the Canadian malted barley used to craft their beer. Also, Governor Kathy Hochul and New York State lawmakers are at odds over how to ban cellphones in schools.
