Clip: 10/27/2026 | 14m 16s
A scientist and a Mohawk artist trace 12,000 years of Indigenous life in the Adirondack uplands.
Many assume the Adirondacks were too harsh for early people. Scientist Curt Stager of Paul Smith’s College and Mohawk artist David Kanietakeron Fadden of the Six Nations Iroquois Cultural Center challenge that idea in their book The First Adirondackers. They talk with Spotlight producer Paul Larson about their collaboration.
